Motion Designer & Video Editor (Occasional Project-Based)
About the role
Freelance · Remote
We’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented Motion Designer & Video Editor to join our team on a project-based basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys transforming ideas into engaging visual stories.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with our creative team to develop motion graphics and video content for various platforms (social media, web, presentations, etc.)
- Edit raw footage, add visual effects, and enhance sound to produce polished, compelling videos
- Design and animate text, graphics, and transitions that support clear and impactful storytelling
- Adapt existing assets and templates to meet specific project needs and brand guidelines
- Shoot video content and capture still photography as needed (events, interviews, behind-the-scenes)
- Film and edit short interviews, testimonials, or documentary-style segments
- Implement revisions based on feedback and deliver high-quality content while upholding deadlines
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in motion design and video editing (portfolio required)
- Access to and proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (especially After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator)
- Strong sense of visual composition, timing, and storytelling
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and communicate clearly
- Familiarity with different content formats (reels, explainers, promo videos, etc.)
- Comfortable working in both English and French
Nice to Have
- Experience filming interviews or event footage using DSLR or mirrorless cameras
- Ability to shoot and edit photo content
- Sound design or basic audio editing skills
Project-Based Collaboration
This is a needs-based role, ideal for freelancers or creatives looking to contribute on a flexible basis. Work will vary depending on project needs, timelines, and availability.
