About the role
Overview
As a Ground Crew member at Blackcomb Helicopters, you play a key role in delivering a safe, smooth, and unforgettable experience for our guests. This position supports all ground-based operations, including passengers' assistance, aircraft refueling, loading/unloading, and ensuring safety protocols are always followed.
It is worth noting that this position will not lead to flying or engineering opportunities. This position is primarily based at the Whistler Heliport but may require you to work from different bases occasionally.
Responsibilities
- Groom and prepare aircraft
- Assisting with passengers, equipment or luggage
- Re-fuel aircraft and maintain fuel quality standards
- Assist on remote jobs with pilot requests and longline operations
- General assistance with wildfire operations
- Support facility equipment repairs and upkeep
- Pickup and deliver parts, equipment & vehicles
- Tourism shuttle driving (Class 4 Drivers License)
- Other duties required by the company from time to time.
Skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work within a team and independently
- Flexibility and adaptability
- The ability to work in a high-pressure environment
- Good rapport with customers and excellent customer service skills, as well as good attitude and superior work ethic.
- Valid driver’s license (class 4 preferred)
- Safety driven and committed - you put safety above everything else.
- Legally entitled to work within Canada
