About the role

Position Overview Oversees the daily operation of Facility Services ensuring high standards of cleanliness and timely patient transfer with the efficient use of human resources, equipment and supplies. Focus on safe work practices, high quality work, meeting all PIDAC Infection Control guidelines and providing excellent customer service.

Education

  • Post Secondary Education
  • OHA Housekeeping Supervisor Certificate or equivalent

Experience

  • 2- 5 years progressive supervisory experience in a Support Services role in a Hospital or institutional environment
  • Working knowledge of WHIMIS, Occupational Health & Safety legislation, PIDA Guidelines and Environmental legislation
  • Demonstratedknowledge of the service requirements for cleaning, linen and waste management
  • Self starter with the personal motivation to work independently, under minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated computer literacy and reading comprehension
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Good work and attendance record required
