ADMIN / LEGAL ASSISTANT Scocco Law Professional Corporation is seeking an organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Administrative / Legal Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive legal and administrative support and play an important role in client intake, file management, litigation support, court administration, and the day-to-day operations of the practice. Key Responsibilities: Manage prospective client intake, including initial communications, conflict checks, intake documentation, consultation scheduling, and retainer administration Maintain and organize client files, correspondence, documentation, tasks, and deadlines Communicate professionally with clients, counsel, courts, process servers, investigators, and other stakeholders Assist with the preparation, organization, and filing of litigation and court materials Prepare and compile documents Calendar Management: schedule client meetings, consultations, court appearances, and other appointments Email Inbox Management: monitor correspondence and identify urgent or time-sensitive matters requiring counsel’s attention Provide general administrative and operational support to the legal practice The Ideal Candidate: Has previous legal administrative or law firm experience Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Is comfortable managing multiple files, competing priorities, and deadlines Is proactive, dependable, professional, and able to work independently Exercises discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information Is proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive Experience with Clio, Case Centre, and Ontario court filing platforms is considered an asset Familiarity with Ontario civil litigation and/or Small Claims Court procedures is an asset If you are a motivated legal administrative professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in providing excellent client and administrative support, we would be pleased to hear from you. 📩To Apply: Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter to [email protected] .
