Senior SQL Server Database Administrator (Contract) Location: Calgary, AB (Primarily Remote – occasional onsite as needed) Duration: Long-term contract We're looking for a Senior SQL Server DBA to join a large enterprise environment supporting mission-critical SQL Server infrastructure. This is a hands-on role for someone who can quickly step in, independently manage complex production environments, and participate in an on-call rotation. Key Requirements 8+ years of senior SQL Server DBA experience Deep expertise with SQL Server 2016+ Strong experience with: Performance tuning & optimization Always On Availability Groups Backup & Disaster Recovery Replication T-SQL & PowerShell scripting SQL Server upgrades, migrations & patching Experience with Azure SQL, VMware, and enterprise monitoring tools (SolarWinds, SCOM, SentryOne, Redgate, etc.) Experience with Commvault, ServiceNow, and ITIL environments is an asset Comfortable working independently and participating in an on-call support rotation

Requirements

Requires over 8 years of senior SQL Server DBA experience with deep expertise in SQL Server 2016+. Candidates must be proficient in performance tuning, disaster recovery, and scripting with T-SQL and PowerShell.
