Acunor is Hiring: Director of Engineering – Data Platforms & Delivery Location: Ontario or British Columbia, Canada ((Remote) Employment Type: Full Time We are looking for an experienced Director of Engineering to lead enterprise-scale data engineering programs and global delivery teams. This is a leadership role focused on cloud data platforms, engineering excellence, client engagement, and large-scale program delivery. Key Responsibilities 🔹 Lead enterprise data engineering and cloud platform delivery initiatives 🔹 Drive end-to-end delivery using AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, or GCP 🔹 Lead globally distributed engineering teams and mentor technical leaders 🔹 Implement Agile, DataOps, CI/CD, data quality, observability, and governance best practices 🔹 Partner with clients and executive stakeholders to define technology roadmaps and scalable solutions 🔹 Support pre-sales, account growth, and strategic business initiatives Must Have Skills ✔ 10–15 years of engineering leadership or program delivery experience ✔ Strong AWS expertise with at least one active AWS certification ✔ Hands-on knowledge of SQL, Python, and modern cloud data platforms ✔ Experience leading enterprise-scale engineering teams and programs ✔ Strong Agile, SDLC, and stakeholder management experience Preferred Skills Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, or GCP DataOps, data quality, lineage, and observability experience Experience with consent management platforms or data clean room solutions Domain experience in Sports, Media, Entertainment, Gaming, Healthcare, Fitness, or Lifestyle

Requirements

Requires 10-15 years of engineering leadership experience with strong AWS expertise and at least one active certification. Must have hands-on proficiency in SQL, Python, and modern cloud data platforms.
