About the Role Reporting to the Director – Business Information Systems, the IT Applications & ERP Systems Manager provides day-to-day leadership, coaching, and mentorship to the Development, Applications Support, and ERP Administration teams. The role sits between individual contributors and the Director, ensuring consistent development of people, technical standards, and delivery practices across all three functions. Responsibilities Provide direct leadership to DevOps (Software/Database Specialists), Application Support Specialists, and ERP Administration team members. Conduct regular one-on-ones, set individual development plans, and coach team members on technical skill-building, communication, and prioritization. Mentor team members toward excellence by modelling best practice, and leading by example when it comes to policies, standards, and stakeholder communications. Lead performance reviews, goal-setting, and career-pathing conversations. Foster a collaborative culture across teams so knowledge and best practices flow freely between functions and people. Own accountability for consistent output quality and performance standards across all team members, addressing gaps proactively through coaching and clear expectations. Actively participate in ongoing configuration, customization, and upgrade planning for ERP applications, with particular emphasis on NetSuite cloud administration and development capabilities. Oversee the lifecycle for application changes, sprint planning, and release/DevOps practices for approved customizations. Qualify and prioritize incoming requests; own and further refine the process for new development across the team to ensure business-level efficiency while preventing scope creep for both requesters and team. Guide the team’s use of Microsoft Fabric for data platform/analytics initiatives and Microsoft Foundry for building and governing AI solutions. Own licensing and actively participate in vendor relationship management. Report progress, risks, and roadmap updates to the Director – Business Information Systems on a regular cadence. Champion consistent documentation, SOPs, and training material standards across team members. Collaborate with the Manager, Infrastructure & Cybersecurity and team as needed to support business systems, knowledge transfers between teams and support audit, compliance, and cybersecurity reporting requirements as they relate to applications and ERP systems. Qualifications Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience. Required Skills 7+ years of progressive experience in application development, DevOps, or ERP administration, including several years in a formal people-management role with demonstrated leadership success. A proven track record of coaching, mentoring, and developing technical staff, including performance management and career-path planning. Significant experience scoping development requests and changes for business-level efficiency – translating business needs into clear, appropriately bounded technical scopes of work. Strong working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), agile/sprint methodologies, code review practices, and DevOps/release management. Hands-on experience with NetSuite cloud ERP (or a comparable cloud ERP platform), including administration and/or customization. Experience with iPaaS tools used to connect business applications. Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Foundry, including building or overseeing AI-driven data solutions and AI agents/flows. Advanced problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to act as liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
