Your Opportunity: The Medical Radiation Technologist I position at ACH operates in the specialized, highly technical environment of X-Ray. The MRT Technologist I, under limited supervision, assesses patients, analyzes and interprets diagnostic data, and provides information to the Radiologist to assist in diagnosis, clinical intervention and patient management. Your work may include a variety of procedures such as general and portable radiography, mobile and surgical suite examinations as well as fluoroscopy where required. These services are performed in an effective efficient and safe manner. As a member of the Diagnostic Imaging team, this position is responsible for working days, evenings, nights, and on call as assigned. Description: As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) I, you will perform a variety of standard technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for the purpose of disease and pathology diagnosis. You will interpret physician requisitions, prepare and assess patients for examination and produce high quality diagnostic images for Physician/Radiologist review, and assist with the care and maintenance of equipment. Your work may include a variety of procedures such as general and portable radiography, mobile and surgical suite examinations, as well as fluoroscopy where required. Classification: Medical Radiation Tech I Union: HSAA Facility PROF/TECH Unit and Program: Diagnostic Imaging Primary Location: Alberta Children's Hospital Location Details: As Per Location Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 0.50 Posting End Date: 20-AUG-2026 Employee Class: Regular Part Time Date Available: 07-SEP-2026 Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 2 Shifts per cycle: 5 Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends, On Call Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $38.74 Maximum Salary: $51.02 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable Required Qualifications: Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications: As required. Preferred Qualifications: Good organizational skills and ability to assume responsibility. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to cooperate, work independently and promote good teamwork. Perception, initiative, good judgment, and concern for detail and accuracy. Demonstrate tact and courtesy in dealing with patients, families, staff, and physicians. Ability to work under pressure and in emergencies.

Requirements
