Our client is a well-established Vancouver-based manufacturing and distribution company with a strong presence in international markets. The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and customer billing. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset. Key Responsibilities: Lead the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple entities. Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports. Manage accounting activities, including revenue recognition, chargebacks, and payment processor reconciliations across platforms. Maintain the integrity of financial records and strengthen internal controls to support a growing organization. Partner with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. Support ERP optimization, integrations, and system enhancements to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy. Develop, implement, and continuously improve accounting policies, procedures, and best practices. Analyze financial performance, prepare management reporting, and provide meaningful business insights to leadership. Oversee cash flow and treasury activities, including forecasting, liquidity management, and payment processing. Ensure sales tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions, including Canada, the United States, and the Middle East. Support multi-entity consolidations, intercompany accounting, and elimination entries. Contribute to strategic finance initiatives and process improvement projects within a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Collaborate on technology and systems-related initiatives while supporting ad hoc projects as needed. Preferred Experience: Experience within a consumer products, manufacturing, direct-to-consumer (DTC), or eCommerce-driven organization. Experience reconciling payment processors such as Stripe, PayPal, Square, or similar platforms. Inventory accounting, cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis, and gross margin reporting experience. ERP experience, preferably NetSuite. Exposure to multi-jurisdiction tax compliance across Canada, the U.S., and international markets. Experience working in a high-growth, entrepreneurial, or rapidly scaling organization. Ability to balance hands-on accounting responsibilities with process improvement and business partnering initiatives.
