Buffalo Trail Public Schools is seeking a dynamic, student-centered educator to join the team at Irma School for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time probationary teaching position includes Jr./Sr. Math and CTS assignment serving students in Grades 7–12.

Specific Position Duties

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Experience and/or training with the updated Alberta curriculum
• Experience and/or training in collaborative team environments
• Experience and/or training in Division III and IV Mathematics
• The ability to support student success in mathematics through engaging, responsive, and evidence-informed instructional practices
• Experience or willingness to support CTS programming and practical, career-connected learning opportunities

Qualifications and General Duties

The successful candidate will possess:

• A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
• A student-centred philosophy committed to maximizing student learning in a safe and caring environment
• Experience and/or training in Assessment for Learning, including formative and summative assessment practices
• Proficiency with Google Workspace for Education and educational technology to support communication, collaboration, and student learning
• The ability to foster positive relationships and create a strong sense of belonging for students
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team
• A demonstrated commitment to professional growth and reflective practice aligned with the Alberta Teaching Quality Standard
• A willingness to contribute to extracurricular opportunities and the broader school community would be considered an asset
