About the job:
Callisto is looking for motivated 4th-year Electrical Apprentices to join the ITA2 Project at the Kearl Site near Fort McKay, Alberta. Working under the direction of experienced Journeypersons and Foremen, you will continue developing your trade skills while contributing to the installation and commissioning of industrial electrical systems. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience on a major industrial construction project.
Skills and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
Construction Activities
- Assist with the installation of industrial electrical systems and equipment.
- Install conduit, cable tray, cable, grounding systems, lighting, junction boxes, and electrical equipment.
- Assist with cable pulling, equipment terminations, and system installations.
- Read and interpret drawings under the guidance of Journeypersons.
- Support testing, commissioning, and turnover activities.
Learning & Development
- Continue developing technical skills toward Journeyperson certification.
- Follow direction provided by Foremen and Journeypersons.
- Demonstrate initiative and willingness to learn new construction techniques.
- Maintain apprenticeship records as required.
Teamwork
- Work effectively as part of the electrical construction team.
- Support project schedules by completing assigned work safely and efficiently.
- Maintain respectful working relationships with coworkers and supervision.
Safety
- Follow all Callisto HSSEQ requirements.
- Participate in hazard assessments and daily safety meetings.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Report hazards and unsafe conditions immediately.
Your knowledge/skills, education and experience:
Knowledge/Qualification/Training/Certification
- Registered Alberta 4th Year Electrical Apprentice (or recognized Canadian provincial equivalent).
- Valid CSTS 2020 and WHMIS certification.
- Ability to work safely in an industrial construction environment.
- Basic understanding of electrical drawings and the Canadian Electrical Code.
- Previous industrial electrical construction experience preferred.
- Oil sands or mining experience is considered an asset.

HSSEQ
The employee shall observe the Health, Safety, Sustainability, Environment, and Quality requirements of Callisto, our client, and all governing regulatory authorities.
Details about the role:
Location: Kearl Site, Fort McKay, Alberta
Rotation: 14 days on / 7 days off, 10-hour shifts
Camp: Camp accommodation and meals provided at Wapasu
Transportation: Charter flights provided from Calgary or Edmonton only
