Coordinator, Fleet Services Public Works, Operations Support 1 Regular Full Time Position Compensation: Non Union Salary Band F Hiring Range: $75,696-$85,159 per annum plus comprehensive benefits and vacation accrual Work Mode: Hybrid; 2 on-site days per week which can increase based on operational needs *see below for more details about this work mode.

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week The Coordinator, Fleet Services is responsible for leading the procurement and contract administration process for all Fleet Services maintenance agreements in collaboration with Procurement and other Regional partners. This role manages asset acquisition and disposal reporting, oversees vendor performance, and acts as the primary liaison with legislative bodies such as the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) and the Ministry of Environment (MOE) on fleet-related matters.
What you will do in the role
Lead the end-to-end procurement process for maintenance goods and services in coordination with Procurement and departments such as Paramedics, Police, and TransHelp Develop procurement documents including scope of work, mandatory requirements, and parts specifications Maintain and monitor all contracts, ensuring timely renewals and appropriate funding allocations Track and escalate vendor performance issues as needed Manage records for Regional Fleet asset acquisitions, transfers, and disposals within the Asset Management (AM) system Coordinate vehicle and equipment disposals for the Region and TransHelp Set up and adjust preventative maintenance schedules for all Fleet assets Oversee installation and administration of Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) systems Manage short-term external vehicle rentals and interdepartmental loaners Collaborate with Corporate Services to ensure compliance with corporate by-laws and practices Prepare reports on asset acquisition, depreciation, disposal, and journal entries (monthly, triannual, annual) Maintain accurate asset records for CAM and other corporate reporting requirements Coordinate annual license plate sticker renewals and insurance documentation Register applicable vehicles under MOE requirements and manage permit and inspection schedules Ensure compliance with all legislative and regulatory fleet requirements What the role requires: 3-year college or university diploma, with a minimum of 3 years of related experience Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office; Hansen or similar software experience is an asset Excellent financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills Effective written and verbal communication abilities for diverse audiences Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively Exceptional organizational and time management capabilities in a dynamic environment High level of professionalism with sound judgment and discretion Apply now and help us build a better tomorrow with the Region of Peel!
