Our team is growing, and we are seeking a dedicated Glass Shop Technician to join our fast-paced and safety-focused shop environment. About the Role As a Glass Shop Technician, you will play a vital role in our daily operations by fabricating insulated glass units (IGUs), cutting and polishing glass, and preparing products for installation. You will work closely with the Owner and Operations Manager to ensure production targets are met while maintaining our standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Build insulated glass units (IGUs) according to work orders and quality standards Cut, size, and polish glass using shop tools and equipment Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace Perform equipment checks and adhere to safety protocols Handle, store, and dispose of glass materials properly Assist with unloading and organizing incoming materials Communicate proactively with the Shop Lead or Owner regarding inventory or equipment needs Perform other duties as assigned, including cross-training in related areas Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Experience in glass fabrication, glazing, or manufacturing is an asset Comfortable using glass cutting and polishing equipment safely Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work Physically capable of lifting and handling glass in accordance with safety guidelines Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication skills Professional appearance and attitude This Job Is NOT For You If . . . You are okay with measurements being “close enough”. That won’t work here. Measurements need to be super accurate to a fraction of an inch so that the glass will fit the first time.
