Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) Clinician
$90,774.07 - $103,579.21 annually, which includes a 4 Grid Market Adjustment
In South Fraser, Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) has 2 Integrated Child & Youth (ICY) teams operating in vibrant, growing communities of Delta and Cloverdale with a deep commitment to collaboration and innovation. Working with school and health partners across multiple locations, our clinicians are part of a broad network of professionals supporting children, youth, and families through a full spectrum of mental health services. The Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) clinician is a core position of each ICY Team. ICY CYMH clinicians assist children, youth, and families/caregivers involved with ICY Team services and provide clinical services for those in need of support. Employed by Children and Family Development (CFD), clinicians provide clinical assessment and treatment services to children and youth with moderate to severe mental health needs. ICY CYMH Clinicians continue to have a home base in CFD offices/sites, and report to a CFD CYMH Team Leader supervisor. You’ll provide direct clinical services including intake services, assessment, treatment, suicide risk assessment, safety planning, and crisis intervention for ages 0-18. You will work closely with team members, community agencies, schools, hospitals, and other ministry programs to provide comprehensive care, including individual, group and family therapy for children, youth, and families. You will have the opportunity to work with a supportive and passionate team to make a meaningful positive difference in the lives of children, youth, and their families facing emotional and behavioral challenges.
Qualifications for this role include
Master’s in Counselling, Social Work, Educational Counselling, Clinical Counselling, Clinical Psychology or Child and Youth Care or comparable graduate degree at the Master’s level in a similar subject may be considered. NOTE: If your degree was obtained outside of Canada, you need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services (ICES). You must provide a basic report by the closing date of this posting to be considered. Minimum of one (1) year full-time equivalent experience working with children and youth and their families, with responsibility for providing a wide range of community based mental health services.
