About the Role:
Reporting
The Component Shop Technician reports directly to the Production Manager.

Key Performance Indicators / Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform disassembly and cleaning of aircraft components according to customer's specifications, airworthiness directives, applicable manufacturers' CMM guidelines and operating procedures.
- Maintain current knowledge of and comply with customer and Transport Canada regulations as applicable to the work assigned.
- Ensure familiarity with all shop equipment operations and their maintenance, able to understand component maintenance manuals and all other applicable technical documents.
Qualifications
- Communication - both verbal and written English language.
- Must be able to write descriptive statements concerning the condition of the assemblies being worked on.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Must have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to use hand tools and mechanical experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs, bend, stoop, and stand for 8 to 10 hours.
Experience
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical background is required
- Aviation experience is considered an asset but not required.
