Reporting Structure
The Metrology Technician / Electronics Technologist reports directly to the Metrology Shop Manager and will provide support to avionics/electronics functions as required.

Key Performance Indicators / Duties & Responsibilities
- Calibrate and repair mechanical and electrical measuring and testing equipment
- Use company tooling to calibrate and repair test and measuring equipment
- Support troubleshooting and repair of electronic and electro-mechanical systems
- Use Quantum to prepare work reports and forms for customers
- Ensure calibration records and documentation meet quality and regulatory standards
- Work in a team environment to achieve department goals
- Support avionics/electronics activities as required
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Willingness to cross-train between metrology and avionics/electronics functions
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 2-year diploma in Electronics Engineering Technology, Calibration, or a related field required
- Strong background in electronics and familiarity with test equipment
- Experience or exposure to calibration (metrology) is an asset
- Troubleshooting skills with electronic and electro-mechanical systems
- CCT designation (in progress or completed) is an asset
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to obtain Airport Authority security clearance
Experience
- 2–3 years of experience in a technical environment (electronics, calibration, or related field)
- Experience with electronic test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes)
- Exposure to calibration or metrology is an asset
- Aviation experience is considered an asset
