EFW Radiology is currently seeking a Nursing Manager to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional patient care!

The Role:
The Nursing Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the delivery of nursing services within EFW’s Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) clinics.
Reporting to: Director of Operations
Role Overview:
- Establishes and maintains standards for the provision of exceptional MFM services;
- Works collaboratively with the MFM Perinatologists to establish and maintain standards for the provision of obstetrical ultrasound and maternal fetal medicine services;
- Provides leadership and guidance to staff, including setting expectations, monitoring performance, and providing feedback and coaching;
- Develops and maintains efficient MFM processes to provide patients with an exceptional EFW experience, adheres to legislative requirements, and demonstrates compassionate patient care;
- Responsible for recruitment and selection of staff, creating a strong team working environment;
- Evaluates staff performance and ensures that an annual performance evaluation is completed for all nursing staff; addresses performance concerns in a timely and effective manner, initiating corrective action as required, up to and including dismissal;
- Develops and presents the annual nursing expense and revenue budget for approval to the Director of Clinical Operations and Director of Finance; adheres to approved budgets, regularly monitoring expenses throughout the fiscal year;
- Plans, develops, and implements new programs, special projects, new material, and equipment acquisitions to advance EFW's mission of providing sub-specialty care;
- Collaborates with others on the EFW team by promoting good staff relations, strong team culture, and building on strengths to achieve results;
- Responsible for providing Astraia training;
- Works collaboratively with Alberta Health Services, Researchers, University of Calgary Residency Training, Fellowship Programs, and other relevant external partners;
- Adheres to all privacy policies and procedures as they relate to EFW, our patients and our employees;
- Undertakes other related duties as assigned.

You have the following:
- Nursing degree or diploma with active membership with CRNA;
- Five years of previous experience in maternal fetal medicine; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered;
- Exceptional leadership skills and previous demonstrable supervisory experience;
- Able to work collaboratively with others on the EFW team;
- Commitment to providing compassionate patient care and an exceptional patient experience to patients and referring physicians;
- Ability to provide effective feedback to staff and manage difficult conversations;
- Superior interpersonal and communications skills along with the ability to provide effective feedback and coaching;
- Ability to effectively manage change considering the needs of all stakeholders;
- The ability to exercise sound judgment under a variety of situations;
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with an ability to manage time effectively;
- Ability to manage tasks requiring accuracy and attention to detail in a busy, fast-paced work environment;
- Strong project management skills with the ability to execute on operational projects effectively and efficiently;
- Experience using PACS, RIS and clinic software; Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience working with Astraia is considered an asset.
