To know more about our Data Centers Infrastructure solutions please visit https://www.slb.com/products-and-services/scaling-new-energy-systems/data-center-infrastructure-solutions SLB is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Commissioning Manager to lead all commissioning activities for assigned Data Center projects from planning through final client handover. The Commissioning Manager ensures systems are safely tested, commissioned, and transitioned into operation in accordance with project requirements, client expectations, and schedule commitments. Working closely with project management, construction, technical, quality, vendors, and client teams, the role integrates commissioning requirements into project execution from the earliest phases and drives successful project completion. In addition to project delivery responsibilities, the position supports the development of commissioning processes, procedures, tools, and organizational capability within the Data Center GC business. The role is expected to help establish a scalable commissioning function that can support future project growth while remaining primarily focused on successful execution of assigned projects. This position requires presence in the construction sites; candidates are to be open to domestic relocation based on project schedules & locations. Qualified candidates anywhere in Canada will be considered. Relocation assistance is available. Roles and Responsibilities: Develop and implement project commissioning plans, turnover strategies, testing procedures, and system acceptance requirements aligned with client expectations. Integrate commissioning activities into project schedules, construction execution plans, procurement strategies, and system turnover milestones. Lead commissioning readiness reviews, system walkdowns, punch list management, and turnover verification activities throughout project execution. Coordinate commissioning activities between construction, technical, quality, vendors, subcontractors, and client operations teams to ensure successful system startup and handover. Manage commissioning personnel, specialist contractors, and vendor representatives involved in testing and startup activities. Monitor commissioning progress, identify constraints, and implement recovery plans to protect project completion and handover milestones. Lead integrated systems testing, functional performance testing, and final commissioning activities through client acceptance. Ensure commissioning documentation, turnover packages, testing records, and acceptance certificates are complete, accurate, and maintained in accordance with project requirements. Support project teams in identifying lessons learned and developing commissioning procedures, standards, and best practices for future projects. Qualifications And Experience: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management or technical discipline, equivalent experience in project commissioning / Start -up will be considered. 15+ years of experience in commissioning, startup, operations readiness, construction, or project delivery within large-scale industrial, mission-critical, power, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or data center environments is required. Proven experience leading commissioning activities from planning through final handover on complex projects. Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, controls, and integrated systems testing and commissioning processes. Demonstrated ability to coordinate across construction, engineering, vendors, subcontractors, and client operations teams. Experience managing commissioning personnel, specialist contractors, and vendor support organizations. Data Center or mission-critical facility commissioning experience is highly preferred Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Professional certification in commissioning, project management, construction management, or operations readiness is preferred. Experience developing commissioning procedures, standards, and organizational processes is preferred. Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in Canada, without sponsorship. #LI-BB1 .
