As a Team Lead of Operations Strategy & Performance you will be responsible for driving and overseeing the development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of strategic initiatives and robust performance measurement within Calgary Transit. You will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless coordination of resources, optimizing service delivery and enhancing the overall performance of Calgary Transit's operations. Primary duties include: Drive transformative projects critical to Calgary Transits service excellence. Lead and performance manage teams, including hiring, coaching and mentoring staff. Provide guidance and project management support to reporting staff to advance divisional priorities. Oversee planning, budgeting, and execution of initiatives, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team in Calgary Transit. Ensure collaboration across all divisions within Calgary Transit, and the organization to ensure consistency in objectives, targets and prioritizing key initiatives. Manage relationships with both internal and external partners, including industry sector partners, union representatives and advocacy groups. Lead critical aspects of projects to ensure they are successfully executed and aligned with objectives and strategic imperatives. Support creation and delivery of reports to Calgary Transit's Senior Management team, providing recommendations for improving service efficiency and delivery. Coordinate and monitor the division risk register, unfunded project identification, and provide support for corporate requests and accountabilities. Provide strategic subject matter expertise to guide the planning and implementation of programs, ensuring alignment with overall goals and seamless integration with existing operations. Evaluate and prepare submissions for One Calgary Service Plans and Budgets, and related budget adjustments.
Qualifications A degree in Business Administration, Urban Planning, Public Administration or a related discipline and at least 8 years of experience in areas such as strategic planning, leadership, project management, budget management, reporting and performance optimization. Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered. Experience in a direct supervisory role is required. Experience supporting teams to deliver on strategic objective, ensuring quality and collaboration would be considered an asset. Ability to work with tight deadlines, think strategically and lead and implement change.
