Maintenance Service Worker III
POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision, this position performs a variety of skilled mechanical maintenance and repair duties on various types of equipment, buildings and grounds in consultation with Facility Services Manager and Maintenance Supervisor. These duties do not entail code work. Duties are carried out in accordance with safety considerations as well as approved and appropriate standards, regulations, procedures and practices on an independent basis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma
- Three to five years related experience
- Mechanical Knowledge preferred
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with clean abstract
- Skid Steer Certification
- 5th Class Power Engineer’s Certification or equivalent required
- Experience in a health setting preferred
REQUIREMENTS:
- Develops schedules, work methods, and performs on-going operating programs and projects, including repairs and maintenance within the assigned functional area, including the development and implementation of effective preventative maintenance programs
- Performs maintenance, operations, repairs (including drywall repairs) and monitoring functions to all facility, plant, contents equipment, systems and grounds as required
- Completes and communicates work orders submitted by other departments including mechanical and/or preventative maintenance and repair work up to and including a highly skilled level as per procedure.
