Our client, a well-established and rapidly growing company in the distribution sector, has been operating in Quebec, Ontario, and the Maritimes for over 40 years. To support its continued growth, the company is currently seeking a Claims Clerk to join its team in Laval.
Reporting to the Operations Department, you will be responsible for processing customer and supplier claims while ensuring thorough follow-up on all files.
Responsibilities
- Process customer claims related to defective, damaged, or non-compliant products.
- Submit claims to manufacturers and ensure proper follow-up.
- Manage merchandise returns and RMA requests.
- Issue customer credits and ensure proper system recording.
- Follow up on claims files and communicate with customers.
- Handle denied claims and propose appropriate solutions.
- Monitor reporting and maintain up-to-date documentation.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure efficient service.
- Perform any other related duties.

Requirements
- College diploma in accounting or a related field (an asset).
- Experience in claims management or customer service (minimum 2 to 5 years).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office; advanced Excel (SAP is an asset).
- Bilingualism (French/English) required to communicate with customers in English-speaking provinces (Ontario and Maritimes), approximately 50% of the time.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Salary: Starting at $58,000 per year or more, depending on experience.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., full-time.
