To continue this tradition, our client is looking for an experienced cook who takes as much pride in preparing a quality product as in knowing that it will become part of someone’s meal just a few hours later. 

The tasks include

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, sauces, side dishes and homemade recipes for the ready-to-eat counter. 

• Follow established recipes and quality standards. 

• Prepare ingredients, including cutting vegetables, preparing sauces, seasonings and garnishes. 

• Cook meats, fish, vegetables and other food preparations. 

• Contribute to the development and improvement of house-made products. 

• Check the quality, freshness and proper rotation of ingredients. 

• Monitor food inventory and report replenishment needs. 

• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment. 

• Follow food safety, sanitation and hygiene standards at all times. 

• Minimize food waste and ensure efficient use of ingredients and raw materials. 

• Perform any other related duties.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a cook. 

• Experience in prepared foods, food production or restaurant kitchens. 

• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. 

• Strong organizational skills and attention to food quality. 

• Ability to maintain a steady production pace. 

Salary: $23 to $26 per hour, depending on experience. 

Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week. 

Status: Permanent.
