Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Car Mechanic to join our automotive service team. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics and repairs using hand tools, power tools, and schematics
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, and fluid replacements
- Repair or replace faulty parts including engines, transmissions, suspension components, and electrical systems
- Utilize welding skills for bodywork or structural repairs when necessary
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean workspace to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with assembly of vehicle components during repairs or rebuilds
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs and timelines
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to accurately diagnose issues
- Use heavy lifting techniques safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with a solid understanding of automotive systems and repair procedures
- Dealership experience is preferred but not required
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to read schematics accurately
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly
- Knowledge of vehicle assembly processes and maintenance standards
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a dynamic environment
- Valid driver?s license preferred; relevant certifications or ASE certification is a plus
Pay: $19.00-$40.00 per hour
