Une entreprise manufacturière située sur la Rive-Sud de Montréal est actuellement à la recherche d’un(e) Concepteur(trice) mécanique afin de joindre son équipe.
Description du poste
Le ou la concepteur(trice) mécanique évoluera dans un environnement dynamique, stimulant et en constante évolution. La personne sélectionnée sera responsable de la conception de gabarits et de montages destinés aux opérations de soudage (manuel et robotisé), d’assemblage et d’inspection, applicables à différents types de produits manufacturés. Relevant du spécialiste méthodes, le ou la titulaire du poste participera activement à toutes les étapes du développement des projets, notamment : la création et l’élaboration de concepts; la sélection des composantes; l’évaluation et la validation des coûts; la conception orientée manufacturabilité; la production des dessins techniques; la validation des bons de travail. La personne apportera également un soutien aux équipes de fabrication et de qualité lors de la construction, de l’assemblage et de la validation des gabarits et montages.
Principales responsabilités
Concevoir et valider des gabarits et montages à l’aide de SolidWorks; Produire les dessins de fabrication nécessaires à la production; Sélectionner les composantes et matériaux selon les exigences techniques; Préparer les nomenclatures (BOM); S’assurer que les produits respectent les spécifications techniques et de fabrication; Collaborer avec les différents intervenants internes afin d’optimiser les conceptions; Soutenir les équipes de production dans la résolution de problématiques liées à l’assemblage et à la fabrication; Participer activement aux séances de remue-méninges et aux revues techniques; Effectuer toute autre tâche connexe liée au poste.
Exigences et compétences recherchées
Baccalauréat en génie mécanique ou formation technique pertinente; Minimum de 5 ans d’expérience en conception mécanique; Excellente maîtrise de SolidWorks; Forte aptitude technique et approche pratique de l’ingénierie; Bonne connaissance des procédés manufacturiers et des pratiques d’ingénierie; Connaissance des systèmes électromécaniques; Expérience essentielle en soudage et en tôlerie; Bonne maîtrise du dimensionnement et tolérancement géométrique (GD&T); Souci du détail et excellentes habiletés organisationnelles; Capacité à gérer efficacement plusieurs projets et priorités simultanément; Excellente maîtrise du français et de l’anglais, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit (clients situés aux États-Unis).
Mechanical Designer
A manufacturing company located on Montreal’s South Shore is currently seeking a Mechanical Designer to join its team.
Job Description
The Mechanical Designer will work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and continuously evolving environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing jigs and fixtures used for welding (manual and robotic), assembly, and inspection processes for a wide range of manufactured products. Reporting to the Methods Specialist, the Mechanical Designer will participate in all phases of project development, including: concept development and design; component selection; cost evaluation and validation; design for manufacturability; preparation of technical drawings; validation of work orders. The successful candidate will also provide support to manufacturing and quality teams during the construction, assembly, and validation of jigs and fixtures.
Roles and Responsibilities
Design and validate jigs and fixtures using SolidWorks; Produce manufacturing drawings required for production; Select components and materials according to technical requirements; Prepare bills of materials (BOM); Ensure products are designed and manufactured in compliance with specifications; Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize and improve designs; Support production teams in resolving assembly and manufacturing issues; Participate actively in brainstorming sessions and technical reviews; Perform any other related duties associated with the position.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical training; Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design; Excellent proficiency with SolidWorks; Strong technical aptitude with a hands-on engineering mindset; Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and engineering practices; Knowledge of electromechanical systems; Essential experience in welding and sheet metal fabrication; Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T); Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills; Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and competing priorities; Strong communication skills in both French and English, written and spoken (clients located in the United States).
