About the role
Davis Chevrolet has an exciting opportunity for a Parts and Service Manager to join their team! The Parts and Service manager is responsible for the effective supervision of parts consultants, service advisors and automotive service technicians for driving business results while enhancing customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead, manage, and support parts and Service department employees to hold them accountable to achieving current business and productivity goals and improve profitability and efficiency.

Recruit, on-board and train employees while taking an active role in developing talent for the future.

Stay up to date on the progress of repairs throughout the day and maintain extensive contact with customers to provide changes to estimates or timelines

Monitor workflow in the service lane and shop to maximize efficiency

Prepare work orders and estimates based on customer concerns for needed and agreed-upon repairs.

Oversee or administer warrant claims to ensure compliance with warranty policies.

Speak with customers as required to explain repairs, billing and resolve complaints.

Monitor and maintain a balanced parts inventory to meet the requirements of the service department and customer pay; balancing inventory for maximum turnover and minimizing obsolescence

Work closely with the General Manager to forecast volume, gross, and manage expenses.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership ability and teambuilding skills to effectively motivate, inspire and manage employees.
- A team player committed to working with leadership and employees to ensure goal alignment and achievement.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a continuous improvement pedigree.
- Results-driven with exceptional planning, organization and execution skills.
- 2-4 years of experience in a service department in the automotive or related industry, with some experience in a leadership capacity, is preferred.
- High level of mechanical aptitude
- A Valid Driver’s license
