Shifts: Vary in their start and end time and can change due to the needs of our guests. A mixture of days, evenings, holidays, and weekend shifts. As a House person, you’ll get to: Stock and maintain the Room Attendants (RA) closets on the floors. Pick up dirty linen from the RA’s and sorting it outside laundry. General cleaning on the guestroom floors Fulfilling guest requests Stripping rooms Picking up garbage from the RA’s and ensuring glasses are brought to the kitchen steward for washing and returned to the RA closets. Report to the Housekeeping Supervisors Clean every surface in the lower-level public areas of the hotel (windows, elevators, doors, seating, counter, tables, fixtures, etc.). Public washrooms and overall floor care is also included. Other important guest areas include the fitness center and pool/splash zone. What we’re looking for: Motivated, detail orientated and organized individual, with a strong work ethic and the ability to excel in a face paced environment. Demonstrates teamwork by cooperating and assisting co-workers. Must be able to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time. Must be able to make repeated and continued movements of the shoulders, elbows and hands (below waist and overhead movement) as well as use various cleaning equipment and chemicals. Cross training in other housekeeping positions is provided. This position requires the ability to work a varied schedule that includes evenings, holidays, and weekend shifts.
