About the role
We are currently seeking a candidate who is qualified for full-time Welding Process Engineering to develop and optimize robotic welding programs, support technical machine setups, and ensure all fabrications strictly comply with engineering practices and customer specifications. The hours will typically be in the office Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
Base salary: $64,000 - $75,000 / year
Location: 400 Highway 6 N, Dundas, ON L9H 7K4

Typical Duties Include (but are not limited to):
- Ensures welding fabrications are in compliance with standard welding engineering practices and applicable customer specifications
- Develop welding automated robot programs
- Review and optimize existing welding robot programs
- Support welding technicians with welding robot programs writing
- Support welding technicians with machine setup
- Provides technical expertise and solutions within the scope of the project requirements such as specifications, welding requirements and project information
- Collaborate with customers, vendors and project team (PM, QA) to ensure implementation of welding procedures and practices
- Oversee progress to ensure execution is performed according to the welding specifications
- Provide welding processes support and suggest ways to improve and optimize them

Key Experience/Education:
- College Degree or University Degree in welding engineering, mechanical engineering, materials engineering or automation engineering is required
- Professional automated welding engineering experience an asset
- Hands-on welding processes and practices an asset
- Background in mechanical design principles an asset
- Multidisciplinary experience including interactions with software, electrical and mechanical engineering groups
