Job Type: RegularThe Production Supervisor is responsible for managing production teams, overseeing manufacturing processes, and ensuring the efficient execution of operations from raw material reception to finished product distribution. Reporting to the Production Manager, the role plays a key part in delivering production targets in terms of quality, quantity, cost, and timelines, while fostering a strong culture of safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. As a change agent, the Production Supervisor contributes to the transformation of operations by promoting efficiency, accountability, and employee engagement. We are currently looking for a Production Supervisor rotary quarters shift who will be responsible for planning, organizing, and following up on production department operations. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor oversees plant operations, manages the team on their shift, and ensures solutions are found to various challenges in order to meet Agropur’s objectives and standards. An environment where collaboration is encouraged and valued: Years of service recognition for vacation calculation Flexible group insurance plan including telemedicine services Employee assistance program Opportunities to invest in yourself (career development, etc.) Retirement plan with employer contributions Salary scale 004: $73,000 to $91,200 (base salary will be determined based on your academic background, experience, training, and skills related to the role) How you will contribute to collective success: Be responsible for the plant’s operational performance, including the development and rollout of key performance indicators and a continuous improvement philosophy Coordinate manufacturing processes, product packaging, and workforce allocation Ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO, HACCP, HALAL, GFSI), health and safety, and environmental regulations Engage, develop, and train the team, while promoting employee accountability Lead performance meetings with work teams Initiate problem-solving initiatives with the teams Ensure management based on business partnership with all on-site collaborators Participate in plant committees and implement operational excellence programs Ensure compliance with the collective agreement The type of team player who fits in: College or university diploma in a relevant field 3 to 5 years of experience as a Production Supervisor in a unionized environment Strong computer skills (SAP, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint) Available on all shifts A role for those who know that the best results are built through teamwork. Qualifications: Education Required: College diploma or bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Food Processing, or a related field required. Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered. Experience Required: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment required. Experience in the food or dairy industry is an asset. Experience in a unionized environment is an asset. Certification/Licensure Required: None Skills Required: Strong leadership and team management skills. Ability to drive change and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and operational efficiency. Knowledge of health and safety, food safety (HACCP, SQF), and quality standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; knowledge of systems such as Kronos or Workday is an asset. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
