Job Purpose
Enoch Cree Nation Equestrian department is an agricultural property that covers machinery, livestock, horses, sheds, competitive events, a barn and a competitive racetrack. The Equestrian department Full-Time Equine Stable Hands position qualifications are as follows a highly motivated, enthusiastic, reliable, Stable Hand. full-time hours will fluctuate pending on events, horses and stable care and concern.
Education, Experience And Requirements
Must have prior excellent experience and knowledge of horses, stables and track management Ability to work independently or as part of a team Need to be able to lift 50 pounds Knowledge and skill running small machinery Work outdoors in various weather conditions Must sign Oat of Confidentiality upon hire Must have class 5 Drivers License Must have up to date First-Aid
Working Conditions
The Equestrian Stable Hand will work: Monday to Friday, 8:30 – 4:30 (with a one-hour paid lunch break); flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed, travel may be required. Primary location: Enoch Cree Nation Racetrack. Physical fitness required (ability to walk, climb stairs, lift to 50 lbs, etc.). A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required. Must sign and adhere to the Enoch Cree Nation Confidentiality Agreement upon hire.
