Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electrician role based in Kamloops, BC. The Electrician will perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment used in fuel and lubricant distribution facilities, cardlock stations, and related operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include reading and interpreting electrical drawings, wiring and connecting electrical components, performing routine inspections, as well as mechanical operations of the fuel dispensing equipment. The role involves diagnosing electrical issues, carrying out corrective actions, coordinating with operations and maintenance teams, and documenting work performed. The Electrician will also support upgrades to existing infrastructure and assist with commissioning new equipment and sites. Qualifications Strong foundation in electricity and electrical principles, with the ability to apply them in industrial and commercial settings. Practical experience in electrical work, including installation, wiring, and testing of electrical systems and equipment. Skilled in maintenance & repair of fuel dispensing components, ensuring reliability and safe operation of facilities and vehicles. Proficient in troubleshooting operational issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective corrective solutions. Valid Electrician trade certification (e.g., Red Seal or provincial equivalent) and eligibility to work in British Columbia. Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations, with a strong commitment to safe work practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, with clear communication and accurate documentation skills. Experience in industrial, fuel, or energy sector environments is an asset; a valid driver’s license and clean driving record are preferred.
