Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Truck Transport Mechanic role located in Winnipeg, MB. The Truck Transport Mechanic will inspect, diagnose, and repair commercial trucks, including engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering, suspension, and electrical components. Daily tasks include performing routine maintenance services, conducting safety inspections, and completing repair orders accurately and on time. The role involves using diagnostic tools and equipment, following manufacturer specifications, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. The Truck Transport Mechanic will collaborate with the service team, communicate findings and repair needs, and help ensure vehicles are ready for sale or lease and safe for operation.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and repairing truck engines, drivetrains, braking systems, steering, and suspension. (Minimum 3 years experience) Ability to perform routine maintenance, safety inspections, and preventive service on commercial trucks. Proficiency with diagnostic tools, repair equipment, and interpreting technical manuals or service documentation. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to workplace safety practices. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a service team environment. Completion of a truck and transport mechanic apprenticeship or relevant technical training is an asset. Red Seal or equivalent trade certification in truck and transport mechanics is preferred, or willingness to work toward certification. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, standing, and working with tools and equipment for extended periods.
