About the Opportunity

As the Visual Design Lead, you will deliver customer service excellence as a member of the Brand Team, acting as a company-wide resource for a variety of design and content creation projects. In addition, you will:

• Be resourceful, inspired and self-driven

• Work in a dynamic team environment on a variety of projects directly affecting residents and team members

• Demonstrate strong design skills across multiple mediums

• Showcase your interest in architecture, videography and photography and social media

• Collaborate with a diverse team of Marketing, Sales, Communication and Brand Experience professionals

What you will do

Reporting to and working in collaboration with the Manager, Creative Strategy and Services, the Visual Design Lead will provide design support for a variety of initiatives and programs that contribute to the continued growth of Shannex and its divisions.

How you will do it

• Work with different internal partners to develop comprehensive creative briefs for various projects

• Act as a brand steward, responsible for ensuring brand consistency across all customer touchpoints

• Work with the Marketing, Sales and Construction teams to develop materials to support new developments

• Update, manage and coordinate production of all design assets

• Collaborate with the Marketing and Sales Teams to support location specific marketing initiatives

• Collaborate with the Communications Team to support internal and external programs, events and initiatives

• Collaborate with the Brand Experience Team to support the delivery of exceptional service excellence

• Lead the coordination, capturing and editing of engaging, strategic content for use on social media and various online channels

• Support a variety of digital projects including website updates, online advertisements and social media

• Contribute to other design projects that further support Shannex and its internal departments

About You

• Graphic Design degree or equivalent experience

• 5-7 years of professional experience in graphic arts, with an emphasis on advertising creative either with an agency or in-house department

• A passion for design and are motivated to develop new skills, learn new technologies and continually improve

• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite programs, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premier Pro, and After Effects

• Knowledgeable about social media and content best practices

• Strong project management skills and ability to work under tight deadlines and track multiple projects efficiently and independently

• Exceptional attention to detail

• Ability to think critically and edit your own work

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills

• Successful candidates will be required to obtain a clear Criminal Record Check, and where applicable, a Vulnerable Sector Check, prior to appointment

It would be a bonus if you had

• An understanding of HTML/CSS, UI best practices as it applies to online marketing and experience working with a CMS such as WordPress

• Interest in architecture, real estate and/or interior design
