As a Senior Administrative Assistant to our Advisory practice your responsibilities will include:
Working with a team of professionals including corporate finance experts, business valuators, chartered professional accountants and other professional advisors who are committed to and understand entrepreneurial people and organizations Supporting our Advisory team as they prepare valuations, mergers and acquisitions, litigation support, financial reporting and corporate restructuring Developing relationships with our colleagues and clients Onboarding new clients, including set up in D365 Microsoft Dynamics, preparation of engagement letters, gathering relevant information and set up of client portal Working independently and within a team environment to support our client service colleagues to produce high quality client deliverables Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat to proofread and assemble proposals, presentations and other reports in accordance with firm standards and branding. Reviewing all client deliverables for quality and verification of content before finalizing and delivery to client Providing billing support using various Doane Grant Thornton systems and in accordance with the terms of the engagement letter Following up with clients on outstanding accounts receivables Coordinating internal/external meetings, room bookings, meals/catering and events General administrative duties including, but not limited to: reception backup, filing, photocopying, scanning, faxing, binding and mailing

Takes initiative, takes direction and works well independently. Significant work experience demonstrating advance knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Teams). 5+ years of administrative experience in a similar role. Experience as a paralegal and/or providing senior administrative support working with professional services firms (law, accounting, engineering) or wealth management. Excellent data entry skills and high attention to detail with an aptitude for proofreading and suggesting alternatives Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to multi-task and prioritize Exceptional client service mindset Computer savvy – ability to learn and troubleshoot various computer programs Able to handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy
