About the role
Job Description What is the opportunity? As an Analyst/Associate in Global Credit Systems Solutions (GCSS) within Global Corporate Banking, you will serve as the critical bridge between business stakeholders and IT partners, responsible for business analysis and requirements gathering on projects ranging from targeted enhancements to larger-scale system overhauls. This role blends hands-on execution with strategic thinking: you'll participate in testing and support activities while also shaping product roadmaps and influencing stakeholders, with the balance shifting as you progress in the role. You will apply RBC’s Generative AI framework and other next-generation tools in your daily workflows to expand the role’s capabilities. Role can be at an Analyst or Associate level based on candidate’s background and skillset. What will you do? Own system enhancement initiatives for core credit platforms from concept through deployment, ensuring solutions align within the broader product/systems roadmap while managing complex, multi-stakeholder requirements. Serve as Product/Data Owner delegate, exercising independent judgment to sequence regulatory, audit, and business-critical deliverables ahead of lower-criticality requests, aligning execution with the broader group mandate and enterprise priorities. Cultivate relationships across business and technology, clearing blockers and maintaining transparent communication at all levels. Translate business imperatives into actionable, data-centric requirements that unlock system flexibility and enable technical teams to allocate resources efficiently. Challenge requests when necessary: advocate for scalable, high-integrity solutions rather than point fixes, ensuring recommendations advance the firm's strategic position. Lead requirements discovery, participate in Agile rituals, execute Business/User Acceptance Testing (BAT/UAT) and Production-readiness/Post Implementation Verification (PIV) activities as needed, and lend subject matter expertise when guiding business users and downstream data consumers. What do you need to succeed? Must haves: Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Product Owner, or Product Manager with demonstrated ability to distill complex application logic for technical and non-technical audiences. Proficiency in SQL scripting and Microsoft Office/365/Copilot for data manipulation and analysis. Ability to prototype “live” leveraging GitHub Copilot and RBC’s generative AI tooling to iterate workflows and mock interfaces during requirements sessions. Ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigate matrixed organizations. Sharp analytical rigor, ownership mentality, and comfort operating in ambiguity. Background or interest in Credit, Corporate Lending, and Capital Markets, particularly the workflows and data architecture that underpin the business. Nice-to-have: Familiarity with global banking regulatory/governance/audit frameworks. Professional certifications in Business Analysis (e.g. CBAP), Product Ownership (e.g. CSPO), or similar. Working knowledge of Global Credit systems architecture: credit data flows, ETL pipelines, real-time synchronization. Familiarity with Global Credit's data model and related RBC applications. Understanding of credit approval workflows, limit management, covenant monitoring, and regulatory reporting. Professional/working proficiency in both French and English. What’s in it for you?
