**The ****__ ****successful ****__ ****candidate ****__ ****will:
- Have University qualifications and successful teaching experience in teaching the above-listed subject areas at a secondary level
- Have demonstrated success with students with behavioral and motivational challenges.
- Foster a student-centered environment in the classroom
- Have good interpersonal skills and a history of successful classroom management.
- Have successful experience supporting Indigenous students and vulnerable/at-risk students
- Strong interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills and ability to work as a team member.
- Be committed to collaborative planning, consultation, parent conferences and positive home / school / community liaison.
- Have knowledge of and commitment to using current assessment strategies, including formative and criterion referenced assessment.
- Have a commitment to the directions of the school as outlined in the School Growth Plan
- Be able to fully implement the redesigned BC Curriculum in all subject areas
- Embed the First Nations Principles of Learning in all subject areas
- Be committed to and practice the philosophy of inclusion
- Have experience in the use of technology in the classroom.
- Be committed to working as a cooperative, collaborative member of a school wide instructional team and attend meetings as required
- Be committed to consultation, parent conferences, and positive home/school/community liaison

**SALARY: ** The starting annual salary for full-time teaching position ranges from $69,582 to $116,870, with placement on the range based on length of services and qualification in accordance with the collective agreement. Additionally, $3,500 annually as a Remote & Rural Allowance.
