Job Title Order Picker/Shipper (Days) About This Role: Giant Tiger Wholesale is looking to hire a permanent, full-time Order Picker/ Shipper Associate for our fully automated 660,000 square foot distribution centre in Johnstown, ON! Paste this link in your browser and check out our video here: https://youtu.be/fdz66L7FBgU What You’ll Be Doing: Drive forklifts and low lift pallet jacks through high trafficked areas with a focus on safe and efficient operation Verify and organize wrapped pallets Prepare and lane wrapped pallets, ensuring they in the correct pallet location Load wrapped pallets onto trucks with care and precision Maintain a daily productivity count Support other departments when necessary as directed by the supervisor Pick orders to supply over 270 Giant Tiger stores across Canada with their inventory Pile various sized boxes onto skids ensuring safe, secure, and accurate piles Lift boxes repeatedly with a weight range of 1-50 pounds while maintaining strict Health and Safety guidelines Drive an electric double pallet truck around the warehouse to fulfill orders with a focus on safe and efficient operation Identify and match picked skids with outbound license plate numbers (OLPNs) provided with the order Certify accuracy for all picked inventory and ensure orders are ready for shipment within set deadlines Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area What You’ll Bring: Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety and complies with Ontario Safety and Health Act (OSHA), and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) standards Capable of sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting heavy objects throughout shift Comfortable in a noisy, fast-paced environment and operating forklift in confined areas Punctual, self-motivated, attention to detail and spatially aware of surroundings Basic math and PC skills As part of your onboarding, you will be required to complete three days of paid machine training and successfully obtain in-house certification. Successful machine certification is a mandatory condition of employment as it is an occupational requirement. Assets You May Have: Completion of High School; Experience in a warehouse environment Experience with a Warehouse Management System Experience operating a forklift, electric double pallet truck or similar machine Positive attitude Class G2 or higher driver’s licence When You'll Work: Sunday - Wednesday, 6:00am - 4:30pm This role will perform the Shipper role Sunday and Monday.
