Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Wastewater Treatment EIT to support technical delivery within our BC Water Team. This role is ideal for an experienced EIT who provides technical knowledge and contributes to wastewater treatment studies and designs while supporting overall project delivery. This position is based in Kelowna, and offers the opportunity to work on complex water treatment projects alongside Technical Leads and multidisciplinary teams across British Columbia.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a technical resource providing specialized input to municipal wastewater treatment studies, designs, and infrastructure projects. Supports discipline‑specific components of wastewater treatment projects, including process design, analysis, and modeling. Apply regulations, guidelines, and best practices in the development of compliant treatment solutions. Participate in interdisciplinary reviews to ensure technical integration, constructability, and quality of deliverables. Support and prepare and review technical reports, drawings, specifications, and calculations related to potable water treatment systems.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline. A minimum of 2+ years of related experience with wastewater treatment.
Registered as an EIT within Canada
Preferred Qualifications Master’s or PhD degree in a related field with a focus on wastewater treatment is an asset 4+ years of experience in wastewater treatment engineering, with a focus on client focused solutions while achieving modeling and regulatory compliance. Experience with treatment modeling software and data analysis tools. Good understanding of treatment processes, system design, and performance evaluation. Experience supporting municipal treatment or infrastructure projects. Familiarity with BC and Canadian regulatory frameworks, guidelines, and approval quality regulations and approval processes.
