POSITION: Secondary English and Literacy Support Teacher, including Junior French Teacher
APPOINTMENT: 1.0 FTE (0.857 FTE Continuing and 0.143 FTE Temporary)
START DATE:** September 1, 2026 **(duration of 0.143 FTE temporary: September 1, 2026 until June 30, 2027)
Qualifications Required:
- degree in secondary education with a major in English;
- recent successful classroom experience teaching at the secondary level in the subject area(s);
- ability to model, teach and foster social, emotional and cultural awareness;
- knowledge of current 21st century pedagogy and assessment practices;
- demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the professional community at the school and district level;
- effective communication, interpersonal, organizational and classroom management skills;
- ability to integrate technologies and digital citizenship into educational programs; and
- BC Professional Teaching Certificate and current eligibility for Teacher Qualification Service card.
