We are looking for a 310B Journeyman Auto Body Repair Technician to work on Heavy Trucks.

Responsibilities:

• Repair and replace body components, doors, suspension/driveline components, and underbody components
• Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers
• Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams
• Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
• File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools
• Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
• Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs
• Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation
• Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling.

• Proper lifting techniques to handle heavy tools and parts (up to 50lbs)
• Dexterity and hand skills to perform technical repairs
• Creativity, patience and eye for detail
• Good colour vision
• Knowledge of plastics, electronics, metals, finishes and vehicle systems

Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience as an Auto Body Technician
• Journeyman Certification as a 310B Auto Body Repair Technician
• Strong understanding of automotive body repair, panel work, and structural repairs
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
• Mechanical knowledge is highly beneficial
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and efficiency
