The Role
TheDirector of Security – Rogers Stadiumreporting to the SVP, Operations is responsible for the strategic leadership, oversight, and operational excellence of security programs, with a primary focus on Rogers Stadium. This role ensures the safety of guests, staff, artists, and partners by developing and enforcing security standards, managing contracted security teams, and aligning venue operations with Live Nation’s global security practices.
This position plays a critical leadership role in shaping security culture, driving compliance, and ensuring that Live Nation’s “Hospitality First” philosophy is embedded in all security interactions.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Oversight
- Lead and oversee all security operations for Rogers Stadium.
- Develop and implement Rogers Stadium - security strategies aligned with Live Nation’s Global Security – Code of Practice.
- Serve as the senior point of contact for venue leadership, law enforcement, contracted security providers.
Operational Management
- Oversee 24/7 facility security operations at Rogers Stadium, ensuring consistent coverage, performance, and adherence to protocols.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive SOPs for all security functions, including ingress/egress, backstage access, screening, and emergency response.
- Manage access control systems, including key management, lock codes, and credentialing programs.
- Ensure CCTV systems are fully operational, coordinate with providers for maintenance, and review footage as required for investigations.
Event & Tour Coordination
- Lead pre-show security planning, including artist/tour recon, risk assessments, and briefing processes with both the tour and venue.
- Communicate venue-specific protocols, POIs, and screening requirements to incoming tours and production teams.
- Distinguish and enforce appropriate protocols for backstage screening, and specialized deployments.
Compliance, Safety & Incident Management
- Develop and execute tabletop and functional exercises
- Ensure compliance with Live Nation – Global Security policies, industry standards, and all local, provincial, and federal regulations.
- Partner with Health & Safety teams to support venue safety programs and emergency preparedness.
- Oversee incident response, investigations, documentation, and follow-up actions.
- Recommend Paid Duty officer deployment when appropriate.
Team Development & Culture
- Train and mentor security leadership teams to deliver exceptional guest service while maintaining strong security posture.
- Promote Live Nation’s “Hospitality First” philosophy, ensuring security teams understand their role as the first and last point of guest interaction.
Continuous Improvement
- Review and evaluate venue operations to identify opportunities for enhanced security measures, technology upgrades, and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in security management, preferably within large venues, stadiums, or the live entertainment industry.
- Crowd Management training and certification
- Valid Ontario Security License.
- Strong knowledge of security operations, emergency response, and public safety regulations.
- Demonstrated experience developing SOPs, managing large teams, and overseeing contracted security providers.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and sound judgment under pressure.
- High level of professionalism, tact, and diplomacy.
- Ability to work long hours, including evenings, weekends, and event days.
- Physical ability to walk, climb stairs, and lift/carry 50 lbs+ as required for venue operations.

The expected compensation for this position in Ontario is $100,000 - $115,000
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Sits for extended periods of time at a computer station or work desk; stands and walks throughout the day; occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.; uses hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment for up to 8 hours each day; lifts up to 10 pounds regularly; exposed to typical office environment conditions and noise levels.
