Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and skilled General/Skilled Labourer in the construction industry to join our team. This role involves assisting with various construction projects, utilizing a wide range of tools and techniques to ensure quality workmanship and safety on-site.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and experience in multiple facets of construction work. The ability to work in a fast paced, challenging environment with strong communication skills is beneficial.

Duties

• Assist with the preparation and layout of construction sites according to blueprints and schematics
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform concrete forming, finishing, and restoration tasks as needed
• Assist in installation of cabinetry, flooring, tile, and ability to perform carpentry tasks including framing and caulking
• Read and interpret schematics and construction drawings for project execution
• Assist with demolition, site cleanup, and material handling throughout the project lifecycle
• Support team in estimating project needs and ensuring adherence to safety regulations
• Ability to take direction accurately while being able to work independently is required

Required Skills

• Experience with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and concrete finishing
• Skilled in carpentry, flooring installation, and cabinet installation
• Strong understanding of safety procedures on construction sites
• Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills
• Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions
• Has safety equipment for work sites such as proper safety footwear, tool belt etc.
• reliable transportation and willingness to work 110% every day

Beneficial Skills

• Knowledge of construction, painting, electrical and plumbing skills, restoration techniques considered helpful
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately is a benefit
• Certificates for Working At Heights, WMIS and First aid are encouraged
