Summary
In this role, you’ll be part of a dedicated travelling construction crew, working on projects across Ontario and occasionally across Canada. You can expect to be on the road for several weeks at a time.
We’re open to candidates from outside the GTA—what matters most is your willingness and ability to travel with the crew.
The Pulverizer Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of pulverizing equipment used in road construction and rehabilitation projects. This role requires strong communication, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment. The operator will also support basic maintenance tasks, equipment inspections, and accurate daily reporting
Responsibilities
- Set up and safely operate the pulverizing machine as directed
- Maintain accurate and timely records of pulverized areas
- Communicate daily with site Supervisor to ensure work plan and goals are achieved
- Perform and document daily vehicle and equipment inspections
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas and equipment
- Support routine maintenance of pulverizer equipment (e.g., holders and teeth)
- Follow all company and regulatory health & safety procedures
- Perform manual labor when required and support general site operations
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Valid class “G” driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
- Welding experience is considered an asset
- Basic computer knowledge (tablet experience considered an asset)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Physically able to lift up to 23 kg and perform manual tasks
- Experience operating heavy equipment (training can be provided)
- Mechanically inclined and able to conduct minor equipment maintenance
- Ability to plan and organize tasks efficiently on a worksite
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including travel, overtime, weekends, and holidays
- Experience operating in a fast-paced, high-demand environment while adhering to safety standards
Compensation Data
$25.00 - $29.00 per hour
