About The Role
We are seeking a strategy-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team, reporting directly to the Finance Manager - Product Strategy & Costing. This pivotal role is dedicated to supporting the New Product Development (NPD) teams in making informed product strategy decisions that align with BRP’s growth objectives. As a key contributor, you will play an instrumental role in shaping the future of BRP’s product offerings by providing detailed financial analysis, insights, and recommendations. Your work will influence the product portfolio, optimize financial returns, and support the development of compelling business cases for new products. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, collaborating closely with engineering, manufacturing, design, purchasing, and global strategic teams to drive innovation and financial excellence.
In this position, you will advise and guide cross-functional teams on financial strategies, analyze multiple scenarios to assess risks and opportunities, and present your findings to senior management. Your insights will be crucial in enhancing the profitability and strategic positioning of BRP’s product lineup, ensuring that financial considerations are integrated seamlessly into the development process. The role requires a proactive, analytical mindset, and a passion for innovation and problem-solving, making it ideal for professionals eager to influence product strategy at a global level.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, product finance, or strategic planning MBA, CPA, or CFA designation is considered an asset Bilingual proficiency in French and English, both oral and written Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to influence stakeholders Ability to analyze complex financial scenarios and communicate insights effectively Problem-solving skills and the ability to achieve consensus among diverse project stakeholders Passion, curiosity, and a proactive approach to work
Responsibilities
Support the New Product Development teams by providing financial analysis and strategic insights to guide product decisions Develop and evaluate business cases for new product initiatives, including cost estimates and financial forecasts Analyze material and component costs to identify opportunities for cost optimization and value creation Influence product portfolio decisions through impactful financial analysis and recommendations Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, design, purchasing, and global teams to align financial strategies with product development goals Prepare presentations and reports for senior management, articulating financial implications and strategic recommendations Monitor financial performance of new products post-launch and recommend corrective actions as needed Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to support strategic planning Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance and product development functions
