Your Impact
We are seeking a leader capable of transforming our BIM practices on a national scale, influencing key technology decisions, and shaping the future of BPA’s digital production tools to position the organization as a recognized leader in innovation and efficiency.
Reporting to the Vice President, Operational Excellence, you will act as a strategic bridge between engineering teams, Information Technology (IT), and Software Development to optimize performance, improve processes, and support the organization’s growth.

Your main responsibilities
Technology development and strategy
- Define and lead the BIM/VDC strategy in alignment with the company’s business objectives, operational excellence, and organizational and digital transformation initiatives, in collaboration with the Vice President, Operational Excellence.
- Act as an influential leader and effectively communicate the added value of proposed tools and solutions to internal and external stakeholders.
- Serve as the strategic link between Engineering, Software Development, and IT teams to ensure the integration and evolution of systems.
- Maintain continuous technology monitoring, anticipate market evolution, recommend innovative solutions, and ensure the seamless integration of digital tools into operations.
- Define and lead a BIM/VDC data governance and management strategy throughout the project lifecycle while ensuring operational fluidity.
Performance and Management
- Ensure BIM initiatives are aligned with profitability objectives by maximizing operational efficiency and project performance.
- Work closely with field teams to support tool adoption and ensure solutions are adapted to operational realities.
- Lead, mobilize, and develop the BIM department.
- Ensure the overall performance of BIM/VDC practices and the quality of deliverables across the organization.
- Standardize processes, methods, and tools to ensure consistency and operational efficiency.
- Support various leadership teams and departments in adopting digital tools and best practices.
- Plan technology investments based on the company’s strategic priorities and coordinate budget management with IT.
Profile we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture, or a related field
- Strong understanding of the realities of engineering practice and/or consulting engineering
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (or equivalent), considered an asset
- 10 to 14 years of relevant experience, including significant experience in BIM/VDC and team management
- Bilingualism (French and English, spoken and written)*
- Proven experience in digital transformation, process optimization, or technology solution deployment
- Excellent mastery of BIM environments and data management practices
- Good understanding of systems and technology integrations
- Strategic leadership, strong influencing skills, and ability to thrive in a matrix environment
- Pragmatic mindset and continuous improvement orientation
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
- Business acumen, results-oriented mindset, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Availability for occasional travel across Canada based on organizational needs
- Proficiency in English is required to support our operations across Canada and collaborate with our teams and clients in other provinces.
