About the role
A career as a Director within Fund Accounting, under Investment Operations at National Bank, means acting as an operational leader responsible for delivering fund accounting activities, with a particular focus on ETFs and specialized operations.
In this role, you are responsible for the direct management of a team of approximately 10 professionals, ensuring the quality, rigor, and efficiency of NAV production, while supporting a growing and evolving operational environment.
You actively contribute to the evolution of practices, risk management, and the delivery of a high level of service to internal stakeholders and clients.
Your Role
Manage a team of approximately 10 professionals specialized in NAV production, ETFs, and complex operations, ensuring engagement, development, and performance Oversee daily NAV production activities for various types of funds, including ETFs and more complex structures, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and controls are respected Act as an escalation point for operational issues, analyze complex situations, and implement sustainable solutions Develop and maintain a strong understanding of portfolios, ETF products, and operational specificities to properly support the team and decision-making Collaborate closely with internal teams (transactions, taxation, financial statements, technology, product) and external partners to ensure operational consistency and robustness Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, process optimization, automation, and the strengthening of controls aligned with the sector’s transformation objectives Participate in onboarding new clients and launching new ETF products or specialized mandates
Your Team
Fund Accounting is a specialized and growing sector composed of complementary teams: NAV, Taxation & Distributions, Financial Statements, and ETF & Specialized Operations.
You will be part of a collaborative and engaged management team focused on operational excellence, where rigor, accountability, and innovation are key priorities.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (finance, accounting, or equivalent) and approximately 7 to 10 years of relevant experience Proven experience in team management, including engagement, coaching, and performance management Strong knowledge of investment funds, including NAV production, with a solid understanding of ETFs and their operational complexities Ability to operate in a complex, high-volume environment with tight deadlines Good understanding of operational controls and risk management Strong communication, collaboration, and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders Strong analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems in a structured and effective manner Comfort with technology environments and a keen interest in continuous improvement and automation
