Position: IT Auditor Location: Toronto, ON - Hybrid (1-3 days/week) Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 plus bonus and other perks! Posting Type: Open vacancy

Our client, a well-established and growing financial technology organization, is looking for an IT Internal Auditor to join its Risk & Internal Audit team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an IT auditor who enjoys working in a collaborative environment where they can partner with technology leaders, influence business decisions, and contribute beyond traditional compliance by helping improve controls, governance, and operational efficiency.

What You'll Do:

• Lead technology-focused audit engagements from planning through reporting.
• Assess technology risks, governance practices, and internal controls across infrastructure, security, cloud, and enterprise applications.
• Build relationships with engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business teams to understand processes and evaluate risk.
• Present audit observations and collaborate with stakeholders on practical, value-added recommendations.
• Support governance initiatives by providing risk and control input on new technology projects and operational changes.
• Contribute ideas that improve audit effectiveness, strengthen controls, and introduce smarter ways of working.

What We're Looking For:

• 3-5 years of experience in IT Internal Audit, Technology Risk, or IT Controls.
• Experience working within Financial Services, FinTech, Banking, or a professional services/consulting environment.
• Strong understanding of IT General Controls, technology risk, and control frameworks.
• Comfortable auditing infrastructure, cybersecurity, change management, access management, and technology operations.
• Ability to independently manage audit engagements while collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication skills with the confidence to influence, challenge constructively, and build trusted relationships across the organization.
• Curious, proactive, and solutions-oriented with a genuine interest in technology.

Nice to Have:

• Big Four consulting experience.
• CISA, CIA, CPA, or related designation.
• Exposure to ISO 27001, technology governance, or enterprise risk assessments.
• Experience identifying opportunities for automation or continuous improvement within audit or risk functions.
