The role involves coordinating distribution network activities and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Leads, supports, and motivates team members under their supervision, while ensuring compliance with the collective agreement and prioritizing health and safety; Manages daily operational activities within their sector (special delivery requests, customer issues, uniforms, onboard computers, delivery schedules, route balancing, etc.); Ensures compliance with driving and rest regulations for drivers, as well as compliance of mobile equipment (tractors, trailers, pallet jacks, etc.); Analyzes and explains operational costs, ensures adherence to budgets, and identifies improvement opportunities; Designs and optimizes the distribution network based on departmental objectives and monitors performance to improve efficiency while meeting service level expectations; Participates in various committees to optimize cross-functional communication and drive synergies between departments. ‘The type of team player who fits in:’ Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Logistics, or Administration, or a DEC in Logistics with a relevant combination of experience; Minimum of 3 years of relevant supervisory experience in a unionized environment.
