CAREER EXPLORATION AT SAINT LAMBERT INTERNATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
Applications are invited for this part-time special project 40% position at Saint Lambert International High school, available as of July 1st, 2026. The successful candidate will be a member of the Complementary Services team and will be responsible to the Director of Complementary Services.

We are currently a team of dedicated Guidance Counsellors. We meet regularly to hold case discussions, and plan initiatives to better support the school teams we collaborate with. We are members of a professional network and actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
The Guidance Counsellor supports students in exploring their interests, strengths, and the various educational and career pathways available to them.
Key Responsibilities
Support students in reflecting on their educational and career goals. Facilitate workshops on self-awareness, career exploration, and educational pathways. Provide information about vocational training programs, CEGEPs, universities, admission requirements, prerequisite courses, and career opportunities. Organize and coordinate visits to vocational training centres, adult education centres, CEGEPs, universities, and other partner organizations. Assist students in developing portfolios, reflective journals, and other career exploration activities. Collaborate with teachers, school administration, community partners, and educational institutions to plan and implement project activities. Monitor student progress and support students in developing realistic and motivating education and career plans. Design and develop resources and materials to support students throughout their career exploration and decision-making process.
Through ongoing guidance and support, the Guidance Counsellor helps students gain a deeper understanding of themselves, explore future educational and career opportunities, and make informed decisions about their academic and professional pathways.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Be a member of the Ordre des conseillers et conseillères d’orientation du Québec.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
♦ Experience in a school setting as a member of a multidisciplinary team would be an asset;
♦ Must be fluent in English and French, both in oral and written.
ANNUAL BASIC SALARY:
In accordance with the Professionals’ Agreement for 35 hours/week: $56, 670 to $100, 410 per year according to experience and qualifications.
