Job Summary
As a Service Advisor at Yorkdale Volkswagen, you will act as the primary point of contact between customers and the Service Department, delivering an exceptional customer experience from vehicle drop-off to delivery. You will identify customer service needs, coordinate repair and maintenance work, communicate with technicians and customers throughout the repair process, and ensure all services are completed accurately and efficiently. This role also includes promoting maintenance recommendations, maintaining accurate repair orders and customer records, and building long-term client relationships through knowledgeable and professional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally while delivering exceptional customer service
- Inspect vehicles through walk-arounds and multi-point inspections to identify service needs
- Accurately document customer concerns, vehicle information, and repair requirements on repair orders
- Recommend additional maintenance, services, parts, and accessories based on vehicle inspections and manufacturer recommendations
- Communicate estimates, repair timelines, and service updates clearly to customers
- Obtain customer authorization for repairs and additional work as required
- Coordinate with technicians, tower operators, and management to ensure efficient workflow and timely vehicle delivery
- Monitor repair progress and proactively communicate any delays or changes to customers
- Review completed repairs to ensure quality and accuracy before vehicle delivery
- Conduct vehicle delivery consultations and explain completed work to customers
- Maintain accurate customer records, appointment schedules, and follow-up activity
- Develop long-term customer relationships through consistent communication and follow-up
- Meet and exceed service, parts, and accessory sales targets
- Maintain current knowledge of Volkswagen products, services, warranty programs, and maintenance requirements
- Participate in required manufacturer and dealership training programs
- Follow all company policies, health and safety procedures, and provincial/federal automotive regulations
- Support a positive and collaborative team environment across all dealership departments
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous automotive dealership or service advisor experience preferred
- Technical automotive knowledge and/or experience is considered an asset
- Knowledge of Volkswagen products is an asset
- Valid G-class Ontario driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with repair orders and documentation
- Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to manage changing priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and dealership management systems is an asset
Hours
- Full-time, permanent position
- Monday to Friday schedule based on operational needs
- Typical hours between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Occasional Saturdays may be required on a rotational basis
- Flexibility is expected to accommodate business demands

- Prolonged standing and walking throughout the dealership and service drive
