About the role
What You'll Do
As a Field Operations Consultant, you will coach and partner with Store Management in regions so that they have the knowledge, skills, and ability to manage operationally sound stores that comply with company standard operating procedures and policies. With your guidance, support, and collaboration, stores operate in a way that realizes operational efficiencies, and meet regulatory requirements, provide unparalleled customer experience, and physical presentation to uphold brand standards. These activities lead stores to their sales, profitability targets and audit compliance. Evaluate store performance related to compliance with standard operating procedures, processes, regulations, policies, and best practices on the internal audit. Provide support, assistant, training, coaching, and guidance on being audit ready for a successful internal audit. Apply subject matter expertise and problem-solving skills to observe and provide consultation, coaching, training, and guidance through appropriate channels on all aspects of profitable store operations – including inventory management, dispatch, expense controls, and staffing levels. Analyze and evaluate store processes for efficiency and cost effectiveness and collaborates with stores to implement best practices, process changes, etc. to optimize store operational performance. Lead projects, rollout of major programs, and the field-level execution of Home Office directives and programs related to systems, process improvements, upgrades, and changes. Actively partner with District Managers, Human Resources, Loss Prevention, Systems, Retail/Commercial Marketing, and Merchandising to identify and address trends and concerns.
What You Bring
College Diploma/University Degree or equivalent, with a preference given to Business Admin./Management, Marketing, Communication, and Education programs. Minimum 4-5 years in a leadership role, preferably in a retail/customer facing setting with proven experience coaching, directing and leading people. Knowledge of PartSource, Canadian Tire and other automotive retailer/ jobber store operations; experience managing a PartSource store a definite asset. Demonstrated commitment to establish rapport with others and build relationships that are beneficial in achieving work-related goals. Demonstrated commitment to consistent execution of operational standards and continual process improvement mindset. Exceptional communication skills, with ability to engage, influence, train, coach and inspire partners to drive collaboration and alignment. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment of change and deal effectively with ambiguity. Ability to work in a self-directed, self-motivated manner and with cross functional teams. Strong presentational skills and ability to communicate with senior leaders. Strong analytical, problem-solving and solutioning skills. Exceptional business judgment and ability to identify/gather relevant data, synthesize large amount of data into key points and structure complex problems/concepts into logical elements. Understanding of how individual tasks contribute to large goals.
Intermediate - Expert level in Office365, tech savvy
Ability to travel extensively with some overnight and weekend stays (Approximately 70%-80%) Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and willingness to work extra hours when required.
Valid driver’s license with clean abstract and access to vehicle

Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements.
